Im Back

I cant believe I havent blogged in such a long time! My, has our life changed! We are still in our apartment in Brentwood. It has been a blessing, and the girls love our neighbours dog. But we are praying about where the Lord would move us...permanently.  i could go on and on about how difficult the house hunt has been, but I will save you the long sob story. Instead, I will tell you what I have learned through it all. Are you ready...drum roll please...
Patience!
Yes, patience. It has been something I have been praying that the Lord would help me with, as I tend to struggle with it. We live in a time when we dont have to practice patience.  Internet is faster than it was, we can microwave just about anything, and we can wash and dry our clothes in a matter of hours (well, that is only true for me since moving to america).  So having to be patient is something that has to be learned...has to be taught from the Lord.  We have viewed many houses, put a few offers in, been disappointed, etc etc... and the one thing that the Lord keeps saying is, be patient.

Other than that, Chris loves his job... his commute is only 10 minutes down the road.  He got his own car... a beater which we paid cash for...and he loves it!  He is happy when he comes home and has a sense of accomplishment!

Our kids are happy.  They love mops, bible study, ballet, church and the park.  We have made new friends.  We even were able to celebrate Olivias 4th birthday with a party at chuck e cheeses, and she had a few new friends come.  All in all, God has been faithful to bless our family.

I am hopeful to carry on blogging. I think I have been in a fog for the past couple of months...but im coming out on the other side, joyful!  The holidays brought alot of emotions, and realisations of how big of a move we have made.  Olivia constantly asking to move back to England hasn't helped either.  But with spring around the corner, I am feeling good! We have gone through a major 'cold snap' here which has been hard. I have never been so cold in my life! Thankfully, this is not typical for the area.  I kept telling Chris, I didnt sign up for this...which didnt help! All in all, I am still very thankful the Lord brought us here. I see His hand in everything that has happened, and we are blessed!

Olivia turned 4 December 31st... she asked for a blue guitar, and cowboy hat.  She has become such a sweet little gal!
