We are growing by two boots

We are so excited to announce that we are expecting a baby in October!  It has been really tough with morning sickness and unpacking, but the Lord has given me strength.  Although my closet is a mess, we are all unpacked! Praise God!  And thank you Lord for our latest addition.  We cant wait to find out if we are having a boy or a girl.  We will keep you posted!

Fae is 2

Our sweet little Fae turned 2 today! I cant believe how fast the past two years have gone.  We celebrated her big day with cake and presents in the morning. Yes, cake for breakfast!  Olivia had woken Fae up really early this morning, getting her all excited about her birthday.  So, as the girls waited at the top of the stairs, I raced downstairs and set the table up with her cake and presents.  Chris then let the girls come down, and Fae excitedly opened up her gifts from us.  For her second birthday, she got a barney dress (her absolute favorite show at the moment), a pair of pink cowgirl boots, and a purple and green american girl stroller (we attached a hello kitty balloon ontop of it).  She was thrilled! Olivia and I had made her a giant cupcake birthday cake, which went over well.  The highlight of Olivias day was giving a slice to the trash man who came to collect our trash right after we cut the cake!  The girls then were able to go to a MOPS easter egg hunt at the park which they really enjoyed.

Our little Fae is such a joy.  She has blessed us with her loving personality.  She loves Barney, puppies, her bird Hammie, giving hugs and snuggles, and playing outside.  She is our little Tinky and we love her so much!  Happy Second birthday Fae, we love you!

Home Sweet Home

The Lord has lavished His blessings on our family! Escrow closed on March 28th at 4:30 in the afternoon.  We were literally biting our nails until the last minute, as we didn't know until 2:30 in the afternoon that we would be getting the house!  Our contract was ending and we had a moving truck scheduled for that saturday...so we were fully trusting the Lord.  I had gotten to a place that I was ok, ok with whatever the Lord wanted to do.  If we were to move to a rental house, or to the farm... I knew God was in control.  The day before we closed, Olivia said she had a dream about the farm and that we lived there.  I tried not to get my hopes up, because I knew that with all the talk about the farm, very likely she was just thinking about that.  But I held that little nugget in my back pocket.  And then it all happened.  We got the house, packed the boxes, and moved!

Its been a few weeks and we are settling in.  There are still mounds of boxes everywhere.  We are seriously lacking furniture in a few of our rooms which is ok...it means more room for the girls to ride their cozy coupe cars lol.  The girls love being on a farm!  Liv keeps asking for us to get animals... i keep telling her, lets unpack first.  Chris bought a tiller, and has making rows for corn.  We've bought a bunch of seeds which were preparing the land for.  Our next purchase is some fruit bushes and trees!

I love living in the country/city.  I love the sunsets. I love my porch. I love that we have space to run around.  Thank you God!

I am sorry I have taken a slight break from blogging. It has been a whirlwind!  Today sparked my interest in writing again.  Fae had her two year old check up this morning.  She turns 2 tomorrow...where has the time gone!  The dr has been monitoring her weight and growth in general over the past couple of months.  Today determined her course of action...if Fae put on weight, even an once, then we were ok.  But to my surprise, not only has she not grown in height but she is loosing weight.  The dr was concerned and so we had to do what every mom dreads...blood work.  It was awful having to watch my sweet Fae have blood drawn.  She was a trooper though, and was able to bounce back with a lollipop!  We will find out the results in the next couple of days.  My mind is buzzing with the what ifs.  But I started to think...what would be the worst possible thing that could happen.... and could I handle it with Gods strength?  Yes, yes I could.  God can get me through the what ifs.  God loves Fae more than I do... and He has a plan for her sweet life.  I thank God for her, and what He is going to use her for in His kingdom!
